Friendship bands & bangels, an outdated fashion

There was a time when friendship bands sells like hot cakes in any garments or accessories store, most of the buyers are teens, the college or school going mostly. Yes! I am talking about the last quarter of nineties when wearing ribon or leather made hand bands are the mainstream of fashion in the youth comminity, these types of bands are considered a sign of friendship & effection for someone. Mostly the couples exchange friendship bands on their first date. I still remember my first date when my girlfriend give a colourful friendship band, she spends her good 3 hours to make it for me, I have very romantic memories with that gift.

Friendship bands at that time allows many small home workers in europe to earn from making these bands from lather or ribon. it seems me that now its craze was gone. friendship band is not more the part of western fashion. however some of the people use it occasionally.  mostly to represent some public or private social welfare campaign.
